Take a break in a cave

FOR a #self-catering holiday that’s more than somewhat out-of-the-ordinary, there’s

The Rockhouse, a #luxury cave retreat hand-sculpted from a sandstone escarpment near the Wyre Forest in Worcestershire.

Set in three acres of woodland, it has been occupied for more than 700 years. It has been refurbished almost single-handedly by its owner, Angelo Mastropietro, who excavated 70 tons of stone during the project.

It has living and dining areas with natural light, one bedroom, an under-floor heated shower/dressing room, a fully fitted kitchen, a terrace and fire pit … and Wi-Fi.
