WIZZ AIR has carried its 100 millionth passenger, 11 years after operating its first flight between Poland and Britain.
The 100 millionth passenger travelled on the Luton to Warsaw route, a milestone marked by the airline giving away free flights to all on board.
Chief executive József Váradi said: ‘We operated our first flight in 2004 between #Poland and the UK, and today, 11 years later, we celebrate a total of 100 million passengers carried from over 110 airports across 38 countries. We are celebrating at all our six Polish airport bases because 40% of our phenomenal growth was made with our Polish customers and their visitors.
‘We remain committed to grow passenger traffic in all the Polish regions we fly to, and to continuously offer our customers new opportunities to travel, whether on business, leisure, or to unite with their families.
