PASSENGERS going to countries such China, Brazil and Australia could save up to
£23 on an economy class ticket and £46 on a first class fare from 2015 after
changes to Air Passenger Duty (APD) rates announced by Britain’s Chancellor of
the Exchequer in his 2014 Budget.
APD,
which applies to flights from UK airports, will be simplified and reduced for
many long-haul destinations, the Chancellor said, in an effort to boost trade
with economies such as China.
