Museum opening hours change in Italy

NEW rules have been introduced by Italy’s Culture and Tourism ministry for all state-run museums and archaeological sites: free entry for all on the first Sunday of every month, a charge for all visitors over 25, two scheduled open museum nights a year at €1, and 10pm closing at major museums (including the Colosseum in Rome, Pompeii and the Uffizi galleries in Florence) every Friday.
