New Boeings, bigger windows

Boeing has announced its 777X model will have 15 percent larger windows and a 16-inch wider cabin than competitors.

Its widened cabin will allow for economy seats that are up to 18 inches wide, while LED lighting and a higher cabin humidity will alter conditions for passengers.

Six airlines including Emirates, Qatar Airways and Cathay Pacific currently have 300 777Xs on order, with production to start in 2017 and deliveries for 2020.
