The National Trust has owned most of the island and the causeway since 1954 as a result of a gift by the St. Aubyn family, which has lived in the castle since the 1650s.
The trust is responsible for the conservation and upkeep of St Michael's Mount while the family runs the castle day-to-day, opening it to the public and welcoming visitors to their extraordinary island home.
The firework display, staged with St Michael's Mount as its dramatic backdrop, will be designed to be viewed from the mainland in Marazion, and will start as dusk falls at 9.45pm.
