THE Colossus of Helios at Rhodes, Greece, was among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. 



A huge bronze statue, comparable in size to the Statue of Liberty, was toppled by an earthquake in 224 BC. It lay in ruins for nearly 900 years.
